Mental health and addiction

Depression, burnout, anxiety or addiction — inpatient programmes in the Alps above Lake Geneva, on an individual plan and in complete confidentiality.

About the specialty

Treatment that only you know about

Our principal partner in this field is Clinique Les Alpes in Les Avants above Montreux: a clinic licensed by the Swiss health authority, with an inpatient setting and round-the-clock medical supervision. Just 27 private rooms — the programme remains genuinely individual, and the mountains, forest and view of Lake Geneva do as much as the timetable of sessions.

The programme begins with a full work-up, including genetic and nutritional tests, and covers psychiatric care, psychotherapy and behavioural methods, medically supervised detoxification, and work on nutrition and physical condition. The average stay is 28 days; the exact length is set by the treatment plan. The scope includes depression, anxiety disorders, burnout and eating disorders; alcohol, opioid, stimulant and medication dependence; and behavioural addictions — gambling, gaming, shopping and digital.

Separate formats are available for family members: outpatient and a six-day residential programme. A relapse-prevention plan and support for the return home are prepared before discharge. In Zurich we also work with The Kusnacht Practice.

Questions and answers

Frequent questions

How confidential is the treatment?

Clinique Les Alpes stands in Les Avants above Montreux, away from the city, and admits no more than 27 people at a time. The clinic observes medical confidentiality, and CorSwiss protects your data at every stage.

How long does the programme last?

The average stay is 28 days. The exact length is set by the treatment plan drawn up after a full work-up.

Is treatment individual or in a group?

The treatment plan is individual and accommodation is in a private room. Individual psychotherapy is combined with group sessions where that is part of the programme; a multilingual team of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists and counsellors works with you around the clock.

Can family members take part?

Yes. There are two formats for relatives — outpatient and a six-day residential programme.

What happens after discharge?

By discharge a relapse-prevention plan is ready: support for the return home, regular contact and, if needed, outpatient care.
