CALDA Clinic was founded in 2008 by Dr Claudia M. Elsig, a psychiatrist with more than 30 years of experience in psychiatric and psychotherapeutic medicine. The clinic is in Küsnacht, on the “Gold Coast” of Lake Zurich, with panoramic views of the lake and the Alps, 15 minutes from central Zurich. The company is led by CEO Oliver Di Paolo, who combines management experience with medical and therapeutic expertise.
The clinic’s work rests on the CALDA Concept: the team devotes all its time and expertise to one client at a time, works without psychiatric medication wherever possible and addresses root causes rather than symptoms. The integrative approach combines evidence-based psychiatry, precision medicine and methods from traditional Asian medicine, while extensive interdisciplinary diagnostics — including metabolic and somatic markers — form the basis of a fully personalised treatment programme.
Clients stay in the clinic’s private residences overlooking the lake, with a personal butler, chef, interpreter and driver; transfers from Zurich Airport are arranged on request. Complete confidentiality and seclusion from the outside world make the clinic a place of choice for public figures, entrepreneurs and their families from around the world.
