1962 - 1968: Studied medicine

1968 - 1971: Doctor of Medicine degree in Dentistry at the University of Erlangen

1968 - 1971: Research in the fields of internal medicine, gynecology, surgery, and maxillofacial surgery under Gerhard Steinhardt

1971 - 1972: Surgery and emergency surgery at the University of Würzburg

1972 - 1976: Worked at the University Hospital in Zurich. He worked as a research fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and then in Boston, USA, in the field of maxillofacial plastic surgery

Since 1985, Zayler has been an associate professor of maxillofacial surgery at the university hospital in Zurich

In 1987, he was appointed as the chairman and director of the Hospital and Polyclinic for Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Zurich.

I had a huge back problem. Due to a hernia in my spine, I could not move without pain. There’s nothing to say about sports, I just couldn’t do it.
