Leu has devoted more than thirty years to this field. He held key positions at GefässZentrum Zürich and University Hospital Zurich, refined his skills at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and the University of Washington in Seattle, and has seen patients at HerzGefässKlinik Bethanien since 2019.
