About the clinic
A lakeside house with more than 90 years of history
Clinique de Montchoisi was founded in 1932 by Professor R. L. Rochat, a renowned gynaecologist, and has since ranked among the most prestigious private clinics in the Lake Geneva region. In 2003 it joined Swiss Medical Network and was then fully renovated and modernised. Every room offers a magnificent panorama of Lake Geneva and the Alps, and the top floor houses a presidential suite and spacious, comfortable suites.
The clinic welcomes patients in an intimate, warm atmosphere: the house’s modest size goes hand in hand with medical care of the highest standard and a personal approach to every patient. Its restaurant, La Pergola, with a panoramic terrace, is known throughout the area for its chef and is open to patients and all other guests alike.
Clinique de Montchoisi has earned a particular reputation in ophthalmology: 20 recognised specialists accredited by the Swiss Medical Association (FMH) treat glaucoma and cataract, retinal dystrophy and macular degeneration, and perform corneal transplants. In 2010 a new radiology department opened for neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging and mammography. The clinic’s other specialties include orthopaedic and plastic surgery, gynaecology, ENT and neurology.
