Clinique Générale Ste-Anne was founded in 1932 with a mission to provide high-quality care, open to all, in an institution on a human scale. It stands in a quiet residential quarter on high ground above the River Sarine, in the heart of Fribourg, and is part of Swiss Medical Network.
The clinic welcomes patients from the canton with every type of insurance cover and offers high-quality care in orthopaedics, musculoskeletal trauma surgery, hand surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, gynaecology and ENT, as well as oncology and pain therapy. Its doctors and staff are known for their professionalism, humanity and empathy towards patients.
The clinic actively develops new technologies: its orthopaedic department uses the robotic ROSA Knee System for knee replacement. In 2023 a recognised reference centre for foot surgery opened in Fribourg, together with a shoulder and hand centre based at the clinic. The clinic also has its own physiotherapy and radiology centres and a Neurocentre.
