Clinica Ars Medica was founded in 1989 by the brothers Silvano and Ermanno Sarra and has since been a recognised leader in musculoskeletal orthopaedic surgery, spine surgery, rehabilitation, physiotherapy and sports medicine. Located 7 km north of Lugano, it is regarded as Ticino’s reference centre for orthopaedic and trauma surgery.
Patients receive highly specialised care in a calm setting, where advanced medical technology meets hotel comfort and personal attention from the staff. The clinic has its own orthopaedic emergency unit, an institute of radiology and a physiotherapy department with a therapy pool — giving patients direct access to the relevant specialists under one roof.
Collaboration between the clinic’s surgeons is built on in-depth specialisation: concentrating expertise within a small group of surgeons shortens operating times and raises the quality of care. The clinic’s director is Daniela Franco.
